About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher Assistant position at a May Center School, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, as part of a year-round program. In this role you will support students ranging in age from 3 to 21 who experience Autism, developmental and cognitive disabilities, brain injury, or neurobehavioral disorders. You'll work alongside teachers and clinical staff to create a structured, encouraging environment where each learner can grow, build skills, and pursue their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering individualized instruction and daily learning activities.
  • Provide direct support to students with autism and related developmental, cognitive, and neurobehavioral needs.
  • Reinforce positive behavior strategies and help maintain a safe, consistent classroom routine.
  • Support students with academic, social, communication, and daily living skills throughout the school day.
  • Document student progress and collaborate with the educational and clinical team.

Qualifications

  • A genuine commitment to supporting children and young adults with special needs.
  • Patience, reliability, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and apply evidence-based instructional and behavioral approaches.
  • Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule in Randolph, Massachusetts (positions may also be available at nearby Norwood or Mansfield campuses).
