About the Role
As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work alongside special education teachers and support staff to provide instructional and behavioral assistance to high school students with disabilities. You'll be based at Ashley Ridge High School and serve as a vital member of our Special Services team, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct support to students with disabilities in classroom and school-wide settings
- Assist special education teachers with instruction, classroom management, and student supervision
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and student accommodations
- Support students with academic tasks, behavioral expectations, and social-emotional development
- Maintain clear communication with teachers, administrators, and families about student progress
- Contribute to a safe, respectful school environment that values all learners
