Maintain strict impartiality, confidentiality, and adherence to the code of ethics for court interpreters. Track assignment details, prepare brief reports, and submit invoices as an independent contractor. What We're Looking For Active Court‑Certified Spanish Interpreter credential (state or federal). Native or near‑native fluency in both Spanish and English with excellent listening, memory, and vocal clarity. Proven experience interpreting in legal environments, preferably courts, depositions, or administrative hearings. Strong command of legal terminology and the ability to prepare quickly for varied case types. Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability when working under pressure. Ability to manage your own tax and business affairs as an independent contractor. Availability to accept assignments in the Sacramento area and willingness to travel locally as needed.
