SolarTech Energy is hiring a full-time Solar Site Surveyor in El Cajon, San Diego County, to capture the precise field data that turns rooftops and parcels into successful solar installations.
About the Role
As a Solar Site Surveyor with SolarTech Energy, you will be the eyes on the ground for every project, traveling to residential and commercial sites across El Cajon and the surrounding San Diego County area. Your measurements and assessments of land, buildings, and natural features form the foundation that design and engineering teams rely on, so accuracy and attention to detail are at the heart of everything you do in this on-site, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform exact field measurements and condition assessments of land, structures, and surrounding natural resources at each project location.
- Apply a range of surveying methods and equipment to gather reliable site data.
- Operate GPS instruments to record accurate positional and elevation information.
- Translate field findings into detailed drawings and documentation using CAD software.
- Coordinate with design and installation teams to ensure survey results support sound solar system planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in surveying with a strong eye for precision and detail.
- Hands-on competency with GPS surveying technology.
- Working knowledge of CAD software for producing site plans and measurement records.
- Familiarity with multiple surveying techniques and the tools that support them.
- Willingness to work on location throughout El Cajon and San Diego County.
