SpartanX is hiring a full-time Solar Inspection Tech in Maryland, based out of Anne Arundel County, to help keep residential solar projects moving smoothly from installation to final sign-off.
About the Role
As a Solar Inspection Tech with SpartanX, you'll be the on-the-ground specialist who confirms that residential solar systems are ready for review. Working across active Maryland markets, you'll verify that each project meets code requirements and is set up to clear approvals from local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and utility partners. This is a hands-on, field-based position for someone who knows the solar industry and takes pride in getting installations approved the first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect residential solar installations to confirm they are complete, compliant, and ready for official review.
- Check work against applicable electrical and building codes to reduce the risk of failed inspections.
- Prepare projects for approval by AHJs and utility providers across SpartanX's active service areas.
- Identify deficiencies or corrections needed before scheduled inspections.
- Coordinate with installation and operations teams to keep projects on track toward approval.
Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience in the solar industry.
- Solid understanding of inspection readiness and code compliance for residential solar.
- Strong operational awareness and attention to detail in the field.
- Familiarity with the approval process involving AHJs and utility companies is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site across Maryland markets in this non-remote role.
