About the Role
The Norfolk Admirals are an exciting professional hockey organization committed to building authentic connections with fans through compelling storytelling and dynamic digital content. We're looking for a creative, energetic social media content creator intern to help amplify our brand voice across social platforms and strengthen our community engagement both in the arena and online.
What You'll Do
- Create original social media content including captions, graphics, and video for game days and promotional campaigns
- Assist in developing and executing social media strategy to grow our fan base and engagement
- Engage authentically with hockey fans online and help manage community interactions
- Shoot photos and video at games, events, and team activities for social media distribution
- Support the marketing team with content planning, scheduling, and platform management
- Monitor social media performance metrics and help identify trends and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with team members on creative campaigns and seasonal content initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
- Strong passion for sports, hockey, and fan engagement
- Proficiency with social media platforms and content creation tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with ability to generate original content ideas
- Familiarity with photo or video editing software (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and brand consistency
