About the Role
As a Smart Factory Operator - PEM/Brake Press, you will run and monitor PEM insertion and brake press equipment within Nucor's Rytec Corporation division in Hartford, WI. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for hands-on professionals who take pride in precision forming, quality output, and keeping a modern production floor running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust brake press and PEM insertion machinery to produce parts that meet exact specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to confirm correct dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect finished components for quality, accuracy, and consistency, addressing deviations promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all established safety protocols.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs to keep production on schedule.
- Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to meet daily output and continuous-improvement goals.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience operating brake press, PEM, or similar metal-forming equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality and workplace safety.
- Dependability, teamwork, and the willingness to learn within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Physical capability to perform the demands of a production floor role on a full-time basis.
