About the Role
As a Shift Manager, you're the operational leader during your shift. You'll manage team scheduling and performance, ensure consistent beverage and food quality, handle cash and inventory control, and maintain food safety standards. You'll balance customer service excellence with behind-the-scenes operational efficiency, all while fostering a supportive environment for your team.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise your shift team, delegating tasks and providing coaching
- Open or close the store following company procedures, including cash reconciliation and secure closing
- Monitor inventory, identify stock needs, and place timely orders
- Maintain health, safety, and food preparation standards throughout the store
- Address customer concerns with professionalism and find solutions that build loyalty
- Train team members on beverage crafting, customer interaction, and store operations
- Manage labor scheduling to meet customer traffic patterns and business needs
- Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers during all operating hours
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience leading or supervising in retail, food service, or hospitality
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and motivate a diverse group
- Experience handling cash and using point-of-sale technology
- Commitment to excellence and attention to operational details
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Food safety knowledge or the willingness to become certified
- Genuine passion for creating meaningful customer interactions
