About the Role

As a Shift Lead, you are the point person on the floor, responsible for keeping operations running smoothly while supporting team members and upholding the brand’s standards for food quality and service.

What You'll Do

• Supervise crew members, assign tasks, and provide on‑the‑job coaching.
• Monitor food preparation to ensure it meets Five Guys’ quality and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment throughout the shift.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to keep guests satisfied.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory checks.
• Communicate shift updates to management and help coordinate staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
• Assist in training new team members on proper food preparation and customer service practices.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a restaurant or retail supervisory role is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team in a busy environment.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
• A passion for delivering friendly service and maintaining high standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
