About the Role

As a Server Assistant Barback, you'll be the backbone of our front-of-house operations at Screaming Tuna. You'll work alongside servers and bartenders in a high-energy environment, managing the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our service running smoothly and our guests delighted. Your role bridges the kitchen, bar, and dining room—ensuring every guest interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.

What You'll Do

• Support servers with drink delivery, table maintenance, and quick resets between seatings
• Stock and organize bar supplies, glassware, and linens throughout your shift
• Assist bartenders with garnish preparation, ice management, and inventory needs
• Clear tables efficiently and reset spaces according to restaurant standards
• Respond promptly to server requests, helping coordinate smooth handoffs between stations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas, back bar, and supply stations
• Help resolve guest needs quickly, escalating concerns to management when appropriate

What We're Looking For

• Reliability and a strong work ethic—you show up on time and deliver every shift
• The ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced, busy restaurant
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
• Experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role is a plus but not required
• A genuine interest in providing excellent customer service
