Your Responsibilities
- Examine and analyze real estate documents, deeds, mortgages, liens, and public records
- Identify encumbrances, defects, and ownership issues that affect property title clarity
- Research and verify complete chain of title and ownership history
- Prepare detailed title examination reports with findings and recommendations
- Mentor and guide junior examiners on examination standards and best practices
- Communicate examination results clearly to clients, attorneys, and internal teams
- Ensure all work complies with applicable title law and company policies
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Title Examiner with strong expertise in title law and real estate documentation
- Comprehensive knowledge of property records, liens, defects, and title standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple examinations, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Professional judgment and capability to work independently and lead others
- Experience with title examination software and legal research databases
