About the role:
We’re expanding our engineering team and seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with a strong passion for designing and building robust, scalable systems. If you thrive on solving complex backend challenges and enjoy delivering resilient systems from design through deployment, we’d love to connect.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across C#,.NET, and React

  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and product to deliver features that actually move the needle

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape a reliable microservices-based system

  • Hold a high bar for code quality, testing, and documentation — and help others do the same

  • Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure on Azure

  • Get involved in code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring where it adds value

  • Bring a user-first mindset and a genuine appetite for continuous learning

What you’ll bring

  • 6+ years building software with C# and.NET

  • 3+ years working with React or similar front-end frameworks

  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices

  • Hands-on experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms

  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling like GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Octopus

  • Strong testing instincts and a commitment to reliable delivery

  • Someone who communicates well, contributes ideas openly and enjoys working cross-functionally

  • Curiosity over credentials — we care more about how you think than where you’ve been

Key benefits:

  • Collaborative teams – a flat structure means everyone can learn from colleagues and senior leaders around the business.

  • Be involved – come together with all of your colleagues every 100 days to share the product and technology roadmap and business strategy.

  • Flexible working environment – we’re headquartered in North Sydney with state-based workplaces and offer a flexible work policy.

  • Family support – industry leading 26 weeks paid parental leave.

  • Purpose built spaces within our office – designed for collaboration, brainstorming, socialising, and focused work.

  • Range of benefits supporting your physical, psychological and financial wellbeing. From a day off on your birthday to excellent end of trip facilities.
