The Role 🥳

We’re hiring for several Senior Software Engineers (Full-Stack / Back-End) to work across our core engineering teams in Sydney.

Each team at Relevance AI is tackling a different frontier of the AI workforce — from the core agent and tool builder experience, to the conversational layer that powers real-time agentic chat, to the enterprise-grade platform capabilities that serve our largest and most demanding customers. Regardless of where you land, you’ll be building systems that make AI usable, reliable, and production-ready.

Our roles would be ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving deep technical problems, designing robust scalable systems, and owning complex projects end-to-end in close collaboration with product and customer-facing teams.

Your Impact 💥

• Design, build, and operate scalable, production-grade back-end systems at the core of our platform.

• Own mission-critical services from ideation through to deployment and long-term maintenance.

• Push the boundaries of applied AI by enabling new agent capabilities, workflows, and system behaviours.

• Shape engineering standards, architecture, and processes as we grow.

• Mentor and support engineers across the team, raising the bar for technical quality and ownership.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership to align technical direction with business outcomes.

Our Tech Stack (so far) 💻

We leverage a modern, scalable, and developer-friendly technology stack to build robust web applications:

• Frontend: React, Vue.js, Typescript

• Backend: Express.js, Node.js, Typescript

• Database: PostgreSQL, MongoDB

• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Vercel, Terraform, Kubernetes

• AI Coding Tools: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and more

What We’re Looking For 🧠

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (full-stack or back-end focussed), ideally within fast-paced, high-growth and complex technical environments.

• Experience designing and operating APIs (REST or GraphQL) and distributed systems.

• Passion for designing and building large scale, distributed and fault-tolerant systems for real-world users.

• Thrive in dynamic, high-performance start up settings and comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and taking initiative.

• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects, solve complex problems, and consistently deliver high-quality, impactful results.

• Deep interest in artificial intelligence and excitement to build innovative, category-defining products.

• Regularly leverage AI tools and technologies in your workflow, and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements to boost productivity and innovation.

Bonus Points if You Have Any Of The Following ⭐

• Experience building AI features leveraging LLMs, agent workflows, or AI infrastructure.

• Experience building enterprise features and systems — IAM, SSO, audit logs, compliance frameworks, or observability.

• Experience building integrations ecosystems or native third-party connectors.

• Contributions to open-source projects.
