About the Role

As a Senior Scientist - Variety Agronomy at PepsiCo in Rhinelander, Oconto County, you will contribute to the North American Advanced Trialing group within the company's Variety Agronomy program. This position blends rigorous field science with a commitment to sustainable agriculture, supporting research that improves both crop performance and the everyday experience consumers have with PepsiCo products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, lead, and evaluate advanced agronomic field trials across the variety development pipeline.
• Apply scientific methods to assess crop varieties for quality, yield, and processing suitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, breeding, and supply teams to translate trial results into actionable recommendations.
• Champion sustainable approaches to raw material production and ongoing crop improvement.
• Analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate research findings to technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in agronomy, plant science, or a closely related agricultural discipline.
• Strong background in planning and executing field trials and interpreting experimental data.
• A scientific, detail-oriented mindset paired with sound problem-solving skills.
• Effective collaboration and communication abilities for working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work on-site in Rhinelander, Oconto County.
