About the Role
As a Senior Project Engineer with Mitsubishi Power Aero in Glastonbury, you will direct the design, integration, and delivery of electrical and substation systems that keep large-scale power generation and grid interconnection projects moving. Operating inside a full EPC environment, you'll own the technical definition of electrical systems and translate engineering requirements into buildable, code-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering, integration, and execution of electrical and substation systems across utility-scale power projects.
- Drive the technical definition of electrical scope, from concept through detailed design and field execution.
- Support grid interconnection efforts and ensure generation assets connect reliably to the wider network.
- Coordinate electrical design deliverables within the broader EPC project lifecycle, partnering with procurement and construction teams.
- Review designs for compliance with applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical and substation engineering for power generation or grid-scale projects.
- Familiarity with the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model and how electrical design fits within it.
- Strong grasp of grid interconnection requirements and utility-scale system integration.
- Ability to lead the technical definition and execution of complex electrical systems from start to finish.
