About the Role
As a Senior Medical Science Liaison, you'll serve as a scientific expert and trusted advisor at the intersection of innovation and patient care. You'll engage with healthcare professionals, researchers, and key opinion leaders to educate, gather insights, and support the adoption of our advanced therapies in the ophthalmology and neurotechnology space.
What You'll Do
- Communicate complex scientific and clinical data about our Encapsulated Cell Therapy (ECT) platform and pipeline programs to medical professionals and stakeholders
- Conduct scientific presentations and educational sessions that translate preclinical and clinical findings for healthcare audiences
- Build and maintain relationships with physicians, specialists, and research institutions to understand clinical needs and market dynamics
- Synthesize medical literature and trial data to provide evidence-based support for discussions with healthcare providers
- Gather valuable market and clinical intelligence through stakeholder interactions and translate insights back to internal teams
- Support clinical trial enrollment, patient education, and disease awareness initiatives
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and professional gatherings within the ophthalmology and neurotechnology communities
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in a life science, medical, pharmaceutical, or related field (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent scientific background)
- Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison, scientific advisor, or similar role in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device companies
- Deep knowledge of chronic eye disease, neurotechnology, or relevant therapeutic areas
- Exceptional ability to explain complex science clearly and persuasively to clinical and non-clinical audiences
- Strong scientific judgment and evidence-based thinking
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with healthcare professionals across the US
- Full-time commitment to this role
