About the Role

As Senior Manager of Office Space Planning & Construction at CDM Smith, you'll oversee the complete lifecycle of office real estate initiatives—from strategic space planning and design coordination through construction completion and occupancy. What You'll Do

  • Lead office space planning initiatives, including needs assessments, master planning, and feasibility studies
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and design professionals to develop comprehensive space solutions
  • Manage construction projects from bid phase through final delivery, overseeing schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Supervise vendor relationships and contractor performance to ensure project delivery excellence
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and report financial performance to leadership
  • Ensure all projects comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, real estate, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in office space planning, construction management, or facilities management
  • Proven track record leading complex real estate and construction projects to successful completion
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction best practices, and project management methodologies
  • Excellent budget management, financial analysis, and contract negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with project management software and construction industry tools
