About the Role
As Amazon's Senior Manager, Energy Procurement & Utility Strategy, you will own the playbook for engaging electric and gas utilities across our worldwide operations. This Bellevue-based, full-time leadership position sits at the intersection of large-scale procurement and Amazon's commitment to reaching net-zero carbon — balancing cost, resilience, and sustainability so that critical sites never go dark.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the utility strategy that secures affordable, dependable, and resilient power for Amazon's global facilities.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with electric and gas utility providers, negotiating arrangements that serve operational and financial goals.
- Advance Amazon's energy transition toward net zero while sustaining uninterrupted service across an expansive fulfillment and transportation footprint.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align energy sourcing decisions with reliability, cost-efficiency, and long-term resilience targets.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership in energy procurement, utility strategy, or a closely related field, ideally at enterprise scale.
- Hands-on experience engaging and negotiating with electric and gas utilities.
- Strong grasp of power reliability, resilience planning, and the economics of large-scale energy sourcing.
- Proven ability to translate sustainability ambitions, such as net-zero goals, into actionable procurement strategy.
- Comfortable operating on-site in Bellevue, King County, in a full-time capacity.
