Senior Manager, Content & Community Marketing

Headway · Anywhere in the World

How to use this kit

Ground every answer in facts on this page and the original listing. We never invent Glassdoor-style reviews or salaries that are not in our data.

Interview prep

Expect scenarios on building a content system from sparse resources, measuring community health beyond vanity metrics, handling a sensitive community incident, and aligning messaging with product launches. Prepare 2–3 portfolio stories with problem, approach, metrics, and tradeoffs. Be ready to discuss remote collaboration across time zones and how you set quality bars for freelancers or partners.

Fit summary

Strong fit if you have senior content/community ownership, can lead without inventing noise, and thrive remote-first. The listing data does not reliably describe Headway’s business, so validate company mission, product, and team structure in the interview process.

Day in the role

As Senior Manager, Content & Community Marketing at Headway, a typical day centers on editorial and community systems rather than one-off posts. Mornings often start with reviewing content performance, community signals, and campaign status with cross-functional partners. Midday work usually includes briefing writers or agencies, shaping narrative for product or brand moments, and moderating or coaching community spaces so conversations stay useful and on-brand. Afternoons commonly go to stakeholder reviews, calendar prioritization, and experiments that test what messaging or formats earn trust. Success looks like a coherent content engine, an engaged community loop, and clear measurement of reach, quality, and conversion-adjacent outcomes.

Headway was a five-piece British Britpop revival band from Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. In early 2003, childhood friends singer/guitarist, David Wright, and guitarist, Joe Watts, recruited two more members. These were Dave Astbury on bass and Johnny Dakers on drums. The keyboardist Tom Harrison was added and Headway had fully formed.
