IESE Solutions is hiring a Senior Ground Segment Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, California, where you'll lead critical infrastructure development for a National Security Space system supporting the United States Space Force.
Role Overview
As a Senior Ground Segment Systems Engineer, you'll take ownership of ground-based command, control, and communications infrastructure that underpins National Security Space operations. Working directly with the US Space Force's Space Systems Command, you'll drive the architecture, development, deployment, and long-term sustainment of mission-critical systems from our El Segundo headquarters. This is a hands-on senior role where your technical decisions shape how America's space systems operate.
What You'll Do
- Design and architect ground segment systems to meet complex National Security Space requirements
- Lead development efforts from concept through deployment and operational support
- Collaborate with USSF stakeholders and Space Systems Command directorates to define and refine system requirements
- Oversee system integration, testing, and validation to ensure mission readiness
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and influence system evolution
- Sustain and optimize deployed systems to meet evolving operational needs
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale ground systems for national security or mission-critical applications
- Deep expertise in systems engineering, architecture, or related disciplines
- Strong technical foundation in software, hardware, and network integration
- Ability to thrive in a security-conscious environment and navigate classification requirements
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with military and contractor teams
- Full-time employment based in El Segundo, California
