FourFront Design of Montana is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license for our Helena, Montana office. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to design electrical systems for a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
About the Role
You'll take the lead on electrical system design projects, overseeing work from initial planning through project completion. Your expertise as a licensed professional engineer will be essential in delivering compliant, efficient electrical solutions for buildings across multiple sectors and project scales.
What You'll Do
- Design electrical systems and infrastructure for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings
- Lead projects from conception through construction and completion
- Ensure all designs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant electrical standards
- Perform load calculations, arc flash analyses, and detailed electrical system modeling
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and other design professionals
- Mentor junior engineers and designers on technical and professional development
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and design deliverables
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in electrical engineering
- Substantial experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects
- Expert knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Proficiency with electrical design software and CAD tools
- Strong project management and client interaction skills
- Track record of leading and mentoring technical teams
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
