Join TECO Westinghouse as a Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Center at our Round Rock, Williamson County location. In this full-time role, you'll lead the electrical design and engineering of mission-critical data center infrastructure, transforming system architecture into production-ready electrical systems that operate at the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position that bridges system design and hardware deployment. You'll take high-level electrical specifications and convert them into detailed technical documentation, electrical diagrams, and physical infrastructure. Your work ensures every data center installation meets industry standards and performs flawlessly from first power-on through full operation.
What You'll Do
- Convert system one-line diagrams into comprehensive electrical schematics, equipment layouts, and panel designs
- Select, evaluate, and specify electrical components, switchgear, and distribution systems for data center installations
- Develop detailed technical specifications, equipment specifications, and construction documentation
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers, power systems specialists, and design teams to integrate electrical infrastructure with facility systems
- Review all electrical drawings and designs for UL, NEC, and ANSI compliance and code adherence
- Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) to validate system performance
- Provide field engineering support, troubleshooting, and commissioning assistance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience with data center or industrial power systems focus
- Expert-level knowledge of data center electrical design, power distribution, backup power systems, and grounding
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software and design tools
- Strong expertise in UL, NEC, and ANSI electrical standards and code requirements
- Demonstrated experience with FAT/SAT testing and commissioning procedures
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration abilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
