Senior Cybersecurity Specialist (SCAR)

SierTeK Ltd. is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist (SCAR) to join our full-time team in Beavercrk, Greene County. In this hands-on leadership role, you will design and secure critical systems that support Federal Department of Defense operations, protecting sensitive government information and infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist (SCAR), you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security frameworks protecting DoD systems and networks. Since our founding in 2007, SierTeK has served the Department of Defense as both prime and subcontractor. We need security leaders who can maintain the highest standards of protection and compliance across our programs.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and enforce security policies and controls aligned with Federal security standards
• Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses
• Lead incident response and cybersecurity investigations
• Mentor junior security staff and build a culture of security awareness
• Document security architectures, compliance requirements, and remediation strategies
• Collaborate with program managers and IT teams to integrate security into all operations

What We're Looking For

• Substantial experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated expertise in a senior or leadership capacity
• Knowledge of Federal security frameworks and compliance standards for government IT
• Hands-on experience with security architecture, risk management, and compliance
• Background supporting Federal or DoD IT environments
• Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to diverse audiences
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus
