Senior Cyber Class Action Attorney

Wilson Elser, a nationally recognized defense litigation firm, is seeking a Senior Cyber Class Action Attorney to join its Orlando, Orange County office on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced litigator to lead complex class action matters at the intersection of cybersecurity and privacy law. As a Senior Cyber Class Action Attorney in Orlando, you will serve as a primary advocate for clients navigating data breach litigation, multi-plaintiff privacy claims, and emerging digital liability disputes — from early case assessment through trial and appeal.

What You'll Do

• Lead defense strategy across class action and mass tort matters arising from data breaches, ransomware events, and privacy regulation violations
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, class certification oppositions, and appellate briefs in state and federal courts
• Oversee discovery, including electronically stored information (ESI) and coordination with forensic and technical experts
• Advise corporate clients on litigation exposure following cyber incidents and guide them through regulatory and civil proceedings
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to firm-wide knowledge development in cyber liability practice
• Build and sustain strong client relationships while managing matters efficiently within established budgets
• Monitor and interpret evolving state and federal data privacy frameworks, including BIPA, CCPA/CPRA, and HIPAA-adjacent regulations

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar admission in Florida, or eligibility for admission
• Substantial experience in class action defense litigation, preferably with a cyber, privacy, or technology focus
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-party cases from inception through resolution
• Exceptional legal writing, oral advocacy, and client communication skills
• Comfort working collaboratively across offices in a large, national firm environment
• Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and digital forensic evidence management
