Position Summary
As Senior Customer Account Executive you join a quickly scaling sales organization at Tailscale, a standout firm in the developer security field. The work centers on renewing and enlarging assigned accounts through identifying extra product applications, informing users about recent releases, and championing thorough platform uptake. You coordinate daily with solutions engineering colleagues while also linking efforts to customer success, support, marketing, and product groups. Team members come from diverse paths, coach one another, exchange input, and join forces so that performance rises in step with what clients need.
What You'll Do
- Deepen expertise so you clearly show how Tailscale advances each customer’s goals
- Generate reliable quarterly expansion and renewal pipelines through ongoing client dialogues
- Carry full accountability for upsell and renewal targets across your account book
- Illuminate product value for customers during evaluation phases and throughout adoption journeys
- Produce immediate revenue wins while protecting healthy coverage for the entire year
- Deliver dependable weekly forecasts and on-target revenue results
- Craft joint action plans with both evaluation prospects and established accounts so they can test and grow product use
- Take part in video-recorded customer conversations that support training, internal alignment, and service quality
What You Bring
- At least two years successfully closing business as an account executive or account manager
- Genuine excitement about contributing inside a high-growth software startup
- Prior success selling developer-oriented or technical products, ideally via product-led growth patterns
- Proven ability presenting to senior managers and executive audiences
- Capacity to steer many deals at once through varied stages plus a consistent record of meeting and beating quota
- Hands-on use of Gong or a comparable platform for pipeline management and internal teamwork
- Experience collaborating with sales engineering, support, and customer success partners to secure strong client results
- Readiness for a Denver-based arrangement that requires three in-office days every week
