Key Responsibilities Lead negotiations on SaaS, artificial intelligence, and related agreements covering security, privacy, support, and professional services—applying judgment to keep terms aligned with company risk tolerance and capabilities Collaborate across sales, product, engineering, revenue, support, and other teams to meet business objectives and close deals Develop creative solutions to complex commercial challenges while honoring customer needs and internal timelines Build expertise in data privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA) and artificial intelligence governance, including data ownership, acceptable use policies, liability allocation, and model training restrictions Train the sales organization to enhance speed, consistency, and collaboration in commercial engagements Build trusted partnerships throughout the organization, with particular focus on supporting the sales function Maintain fluency in legal and regulatory trends affecting public sector, financial services, and healthcare verticals Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial contract experience at a technology company or technology-focused law firm At least 3 years of hands-on negotiation of cloud-based service agreements with enterprise or heavily regulated customers Strong knowledge of data privacy law and security standards, including GDPR and CCPA Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning contract terms, including data ownership, indemnification for AI-generated content, and responsible AI governance Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, quota-oriented environment Active license to practice law, J.D. degree, or equivalent professional experience with complex technology transactions Action-oriented, self-directed, customer-focused, sound legal and business judgment, collaborative, professional, and strong interpersonal skills Bonus: Experience with channel or marketplace sales models Working at name name builds an inclusive, merit-based workplace where diverse talent thrives.
