Join Calyx Living as a Part-Time Senior Community Pottery and Ceramics Instructor in Neuse, Wake County. We're seeking a creative, energetic instructor to lead pottery and ceramics classes at our brand-new assisted living community in Wakefield, conveniently located near North Raleigh off Capital Boulevard.

About the Role

This part-time position offers the flexibility and meaningful impact of teaching pottery and ceramics to seniors. You'll lead one to two weekly classes in our newly designed community, where residents come to discover creative expression, skill-building, and the therapeutic joy of working with clay.

What You'll Do

• Lead engaging pottery and ceramics instruction for mixed-level learners among our senior residents
• Prepare studio space, tools, and materials before each class session
• Provide supportive feedback and personalized guidance to develop student technique and confidence
• Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where all residents feel encouraged to explore their creativity
• Maintain a safe, organized studio with proper equipment handling and storage
• Build community connection through shared creative experience

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience and expertise in pottery, ceramics, or clay arts with teaching background
• Genuine passion for enriching seniors' lives through creative instruction and mentorship
• Engaging, energetic personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for varying physical abilities and experience levels
• Reliability to consistently lead scheduled weekly pottery classes
• Comfort working collaboratively within our assisted living community team
