Trident
Our client is a real estate investment manager focused exclusively on the RV and Mobile Home asset class. Founded in 2017, the company has strategically acquired and developed income-generating RV parks across Texas. Their investment approach centers on providing affordable housing solutions with strong resident retention and operational efficiency.
As the organization continues to scale, they are seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to strengthen financial reporting, controls, and multi-entity accounting operations.
The Senior Accounting Manager will own full-cycle accounting across multiple park entities within NetSuite, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
This role is highly hands-on and spans the general ledger — from daily transaction review and cash controls to month-end close, reconciliations, and entity-level financial statements. The position works closely with leadership and park operations to resolve accounting questions, improve processes, and support budgeting and forecasting as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- Month-End Close & Reporting
- Own the month-end close process for each park/entity in NetSuite, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and reporting packages with variance and trend analysis.
- Maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations (accounts receivable, security deposits, customer prepaids, and other revenue-related accounts).
- Support audit and tax requests with organized documentation and schedules.
- Revenue Accounting & Reconciliations
- Manage revenue accounting for monthly rent charges by coordinating data from the property management system (e.g., Firefly).
- Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries.
- Reconcile payment processor activity (e.g., Stripe) to rent charges and bank deposits.
- Investigate and resolve timing differences, chargebacks, refunds, and unmatched transactions.
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting standards.
- Cash Management & Controls
- Oversee day-to-day accounts payable workflow, including bill entry, coding, approvals, and documentation.
- Manage cash disbursements, check runs, positive pay uploads, and payment approvals.
- Complete timely bank reconciliations in NetSuite and resolve reconciling items.
- Prepare weekly cash reporting and monitor bank balances, escalating liquidity concerns as needed.
- Calculate and record intercompany settlements and management fees, ensuring proper reconciliation and documentation.
- Operational Partnership & Process Improvement
- Partner with park managers and leadership to clarify transactions and resolve classification issues.
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting documentation to support scalability.
- Identify and implement process improvements within NetSuite and accounting workflows.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite (GL, bank reconciliations, bill entry, journal workflows, reporting).
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience with ownership of month-end close.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
- Experience reconciling revenue and cash activity across multiple systems (property management platforms and payment processors such as Stripe).
- Strong internal controls and cash management experience.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation schedules).
- Experience managing multiple entities with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations and leadership teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification and/or 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience in multi-site operations (real estate, hospitality, or multi-location businesses).
- Experience with property management platforms (Firefly, Buildium, Appfolio, etc.).
- Prior exposure to audit coordination and tax workpapers.
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
Requirements
- Full-time availability, committed to a 40-hour workweek.
- Flexible to work in the US timezone
- Capable of maintaining a distraction-free work-from-home setup.
- Laptop or Desktop meeting the minimum specifications: 8GB RAM and i5 operating system.
- Reliable and high-speed internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 MBPS.
Benefits
- Monthly salary of $1500
- Up to 12 Paid Time Off days per year
- Paid Holiday Time Off Days
- 100% Remote Work: Embrace the flexibility of a work-from-home arrangement, allowing you to create a comfortable and efficient workspace in your own home.
