About This Position
This is a full-time position within Montana State University's Science Math Resource Center (SMRC), reporting directly to the SMRC Director. You will take ownership of developing and implementing STEM youth programming and professional development workshops tailored for PK-12 educators. This coordinator role is essential to our mission of strengthening math and science instruction across Gallatin County and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Design and coordinate STEM youth events and learning experiences aligned with district and state standards
- Create and curate subject matter content, identify qualified presenters, and develop curricula for teacher professional development workshops
- Establish learning outcomes for each program initiative and develop assessment strategies to measure effectiveness
- Manage logistics and participant coordination for all center events and workshops
- Collaborate with school districts, teachers, and community partners to understand and address educational needs
- Maintain documentation, attendance records, and program evaluation data
- Support the SMRC Director in strategic planning and annual program development

- Demonstrated experience planning and executing educational programs or professional development initiatives
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with PK-12 education systems and educator needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and school districts
- Attention to detail and strong data management skills for program documentation and assessment
