Join Bob Hope School as a School Marshal — a full-time security professional dedicated to keeping our Port Arthur, Jefferson County campus safe. We're hiring an armed protection specialist to protect our students, staff, and facilities.
About the Role
This is a full-time, 10-month position reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer. You'll serve as the primary security presence on campus, maintaining a visible and proactive approach to school safety while building trust with our school community.
What You'll Do
- Provide armed protection and security oversight across campus during school hours and school-sponsored events
- Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorized individuals enter school grounds
- Patrol interior and exterior areas to prevent incidents and respond to security threats
- Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential vulnerabilities
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when needed
- Maintain accurate incident reports and security logs
- Build positive relationships with students and staff while enforcing security protocols
- Support emergency procedures and conduct safety drills
What We're Looking For
- Valid Texas security license with armed certification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
- Physical fitness and ability to patrol campus grounds
- Strong judgment and de-escalation abilities
- Experience in school security, law enforcement, or military preferred
- Familiarity with school safety best practices and K–12 environments a plus
