About the Role
As a School Bus Driver with Summit School Services, you'll safely transport students to and from school across the Tallmadge, Summit County area. This is a full-time, on-site position built around a predictable split-hour schedule — with no nights and no weekends — making it an ideal fit whether you're entering the workforce, returning after time away, or simply looking for meaningful work that complements your day.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a school bus safely and on schedule along assigned routes in Tallmadge and the surrounding Summit County area
- Ensure the well-being of every student boarding, riding, and exiting the bus
- Follow all traffic laws and district transportation safety procedures
- Maintain dependable attendance to keep routes running on time, mornings and afternoons
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
Qualifications
- No prior driving experience necessary — complete CDL training is provided
- Willingness to earn the required commercial driver credentials with our support
- A commitment to student safety and reliable, punctual service
- Availability for a split-hour daytime schedule on weekdays
