About the Role
As a Dearborn Heights H2S Driver with Summit School Services, you'll safely transport students between home and school across the Dearborn Heights, Michigan area. This is a full-time, on-site position built around dependable split-shift hours — meaning your mornings and afternoons are spoken for, but your evenings and weekends stay your own. No commercial license yet? No problem: we'll train you and help you earn your CDL.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive scheduled home-to-school routes throughout Dearborn Heights and the surrounding Wayne County community
- Keep every rider safe by following all traffic laws and student transportation regulations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns
- Maintain a calm, supportive environment for students while loading, unloading, and en route
- Stick to assigned timetables and communicate clearly with dispatch and school staff
Qualifications
- A clean, safety-minded driving record and a commitment to student wellbeing
- Willingness to complete CDL training (provided by Summit School Services for those who need it)
