RV Service Technician

About the Role

As an RV Service Technician at Optimum RV, you'll be the technical backbone of our service department, diagnosing and repairing the diverse mechanical, electrical, and systems challenges that modern recreational vehicles present. You'll work independently and collaboratively to restore RVs to peak condition, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and confident in their vehicle's reliability.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing to identify mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues on RVs of various makes and models
• Execute routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, and preventative service
• Repair and service RV-specific systems: slide-outs, awnings, water systems, HVAC units, generators, and living space appliances
• Document work orders accurately, communicate findings and recommendations to customers, and maintain detailed service records
• Order parts, manage inventory for your workflow, and work safely with hand and power tools in compliance with safety protocols
• Collaborate with our service team to meet production schedules and deliver timely service turnarounds

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an RV Service Technician, automotive technician, or equivalent hands-on technical background
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills across engine, transmission, electrical, and RV-specific systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to our Corpus Christi location daily
• Customer service mindset and clear communication skills
• Commitment to safety, quality work, and professional conduct
