Position Summary
We seek an experienced Registered Nurse to join our postpartum unit at Community Medical Center in Missoula, Missoula County. In this role, you'll deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during the critical postpartum period, working within a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to maternal and infant wellness.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and assess maternal recovery, vital signs, and postpartum complications
- Provide direct care to newborns, including feeding support, physical assessment, and routine procedures
- Educate new mothers on postpartum recovery, infant care, and breastfeeding support
- Assist with medical procedures and medication administration as directed by physicians
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients under your care
- Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond to patient needs and concerns with attention and professionalism
Who We're Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid and in good standing
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of postpartum care and newborn assessment
- Excellent communication skills and genuine compassion for patients and families
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare standards
