About the Role
We're seeking an experienced PACU RN to deliver high-quality patient care during the critical post-operative recovery period. You'll work in a fast-paced surgical recovery setting where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes and safety. What You'll Do
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and post-operative status in newly recovering patients
- Assess surgical site integrity and manage drains, catheters, and dressings per protocol
- Administer medications and manage IV fluids while maintaining detailed patient records
- Communicate seamlessly with surgical teams, anesthesia staff, and floor units regarding patient readiness for transfer
- Provide compassionate patient and family education during the vulnerable recovery phase
- Maintain strict infection control standards and adherence to facility policies
What We're Looking For
- Current, unencumbered RN license in New Mexico or ability to obtain one
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in post-operative or acute care settings
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in a high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary departments
- Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to patient-centered care
