Right of Way Agent (Embedded)

Coates Field Service Inc is hiring a full-time Right of Way Agent (Embedded) in Dorchester Center, Suffolk County to support utility distribution and transmission work for a key client.

About the Role

As an embedded, in-house Right of Way Agent with Coates Field Service Inc, you will work directly alongside the project team to secure linear right of way needed for distribution and transmission infrastructure. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Dorchester Center, Suffolk County, with project activity centered near Waltham, MA. Please note that per diem is not offered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire linear right of way from private landowners for distribution and transmission projects.
• Negotiate and manage land and easement agreements that keep projects moving on schedule.
• Coordinate closely with the client's project team to deliver against defined milestones.
• Manage competing priorities and respond effectively under tight, deadline-driven timelines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the acquisition process.

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on experience acquiring linear right of way for utility distribution and transmission projects.
• Demonstrated success negotiating with private landowners.
• Ability to adapt quickly and consistently meet project deliverables under pressure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills suited to an embedded, client-facing environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in the Dorchester Center / Waltham, MA area.
