About the Role

As a Pretreatment Inspector at Muskegon County's Resource Recovery Center, you will support the day-to-day delivery of the county's approved Industrial Pretreatment Program, Hauled Waste Program, and Mercury Minimization Program. Working under direct supervision, you'll carry out paraprofessional-level fieldwork and analysis that helps keep regulated discharges within compliance and protects the regional treatment system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and evaluations of wastewater and other discharges from industrial and hauled-waste sources.
  • Review and assess data and documentation tied to discharge activity for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in administering the Industrial Pretreatment, Hauled Waste, and Mercury Minimization programs.
