About the Role
EXL partners with commercial and personal line insurance carriers to deliver comprehensive field appraisals, property inspections, and risk control services. In this position, you'll conduct thorough on-site evaluations of high-value residential properties throughout the Bend and Deschutes County area, documenting detailed findings that directly support underwriting accuracy and speed.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed appraisals and inspections of high-value residential properties in the Bend area
- Assess property condition, construction quality, systems functionality, and risk factors with precision
- Document findings, measurements, photographs, and observations for insurance underwriting teams
- Communicate professionally with property owners and insurance stakeholders during site visits
- Prepare comprehensive reports that meet quality standards and support timely underwriting decisions
- Maintain organized records and meet project deadlines consistently
What We're Looking For
- Experience in residential property appraisal, inspection, or related field appraisal work
- Strong knowledge of residential construction, building systems, and property valuation
- Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities
- Professional communication skills and experience working with clients
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field work
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and deadline standards
- High school diploma or GED; relevant licensing or certifications preferred
