Key Responsibilities
- Set priorities for assigned maintenance tasks so emergency breakdowns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Alert your direct supervisor to any condition that affects, or could affect, the safe and proper operation of plant equipment.
- Keep planned maintenance activity within an acceptable backlog so routine upkeep stays on schedule.
- Handle service calls involving plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment repairs.
- Support the overall reliability and safe functioning of facility systems tied to the Biosafety Cabinet Program.
Qualifications
- Practical experience troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems and related equipment.
- Ability to triage competing maintenance demands and respond quickly to emergency breakdowns.
- Strong attention to safety, with the judgment to recognize and escalate conditions that threaten safe operation.
- Reliable, organized approach to managing planned maintenance and minimizing backlog.
- Willingness to work full-time and on-site in Burnet, Burleson County.
