About the Role

As a Customer Service Sales Associate with The Hertz Corporation, you'll be the primary point of contact for rental customers, guiding them through their options, matching them to the right vehicle, and delivering a seamless, professional experience from agreement to keys. This position blends genuine hospitality with consultative selling — you'll help customers feel confident in their choices while contributing to branch revenue goals.

What You'll Do

• Welcome customers at the counter and walk them through available rental options tailored to their needs and trip details
• Actively present and explain add-on products and services — including coverage options, fuel plans, and vehicle upgrades — to maximize value for both the customer and the branch
• Address customer hesitations and objections with confident, solution-oriented communication
• Process rental agreements accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete
• Assist with vehicle returns and post-rental transactions as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current fleet inventory, promotions, and company policies
• Resolve customer concerns on the spot, escalating to management when appropriate
• Uphold the standards of world-class service that define the Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands

What We're Looking For

• A strong customer service orientation with the ability to stay composed and friendly under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to engage customers in a consultative sales conversation
• Clear, persuasive verbal communication skills
• Comfort with computer-based systems for processing transactions and retrieving account information
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
• Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or automotive services is a plus but not required
