About the Role
As an Orthopedic Registered Nurse with HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, you'll provide direct patient care to individuals recovering from orthopedic procedures, injuries, and conditions. In this part-time position, you'll be part of a collaborative nursing team focused on delivering excellent patient outcomes and supportive care.
What You'll Do
- Assess, monitor, and document patient clinical status and vital signs throughout your shifts
- Administer medications and manage evidence-based pain relief protocols
- Perform and assist with wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative management
- Support orthopedic procedures and facilitate patient recovery
- Educate patients and families about orthopedic treatment plans and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care team members
- Maintain safe, clean patient environments and enforce infection control practices
- Respond promptly to patient needs and advocate for quality, compassionate care
What We're Looking For
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic hospital environment and manage multiple patient priorities
- Genuine compassion for patients and commitment to excellent care standards
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to clinical detail
- Experience in orthopedic, acute care, or surgical nursing (preferred)
- Reliability and flexibility in meeting part-time scheduling needs
