This full-time leadership role combines hands-on property management with strategic portfolio planning and team supervision. What This Role Involves You'll manage a regional portfolio of residential properties, directly overseeing the general managers and property staff who operate each community. This role bridges the gap between property-level operations and executive strategy: you'll ensure day-to-day compliance and quality while driving portfolio-wide initiatives around financial performance, resident satisfaction, and long-term asset development. You'll report on regional performance, recommend capital investments, and lead continuous improvement across the portfolio. Core Duties Supervise and mentor the property managers and operational staff across your portfolio Conduct regular property inspections, audits, and operational reviews Monitor financial performance, occupancy, lease compliance, and regulatory adherence Develop and implement strategic plans for portfolio repositioning and growth Manage resident relations escalations and community engagement Oversee budgeting, revenue forecasting, and capital planning for the region Ensure all properties maintain affordable housing certification and compliance with tax credit, Section 8, or other subsidy programs Collaborate with senior management on staffing, policy, and funding decisions Requirements 5+ years of property management experience, with at least 2 years in affordable or subsidized housing Demonstrated success supervising and developing property management teams Deep knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, or other affordable housing compliance requirements Solid understanding of property financials, budgeting, and performance metrics Strong written and oral communication skills Proven organizational and analytical abilities Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, management, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered About Blue Castle Agency Blue Castle Agency partners with developers, nonprofits, and public agencies to own, develop, and manage affordable housing communities.
