About the Role
This full-time position offers over-the-road (OTR) driving in a reefer truck, averaging 2,200–2,500 miles per week across multi-state regional routes. You'll manage temperature-controlled freight while maintaining the highest safety and reliability standards. Decker provides well-maintained, modern equipment and dispatch support designed to keep you earning and home on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Operate CDL A reefer trucks on assigned regional routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT standards
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature control for perishable cargo
- Meet delivery windows and coordinate with shippers and dispatch
- Maintain accurate logbooks and compliance documentation
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and road conditions promptly
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL Class A license with reefer truck experience (or willingness to train)
- Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical certification
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
- Comfort with extended periods away from home between home time
Compensation & Benefits
Weekly pay ranges from $1,150 to $2,170, based on experience, miles hauled, and load type. Full-time employment with regular home time between runs and access to company benefits.
