Innio is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its team in Waukesha, Waukesha County.

This full‑time role focuses on verifying that power‑system components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards before they are shipped to customers.

About the Role

The Quality Inspector plays a critical part in ensuring that Innio’s Jenbacher and Waukesha power systems deliver the reliability and performance expected by data‑center, industrial, and utility customers. Working closely with production, engineering, and supply‑chain teams, the inspector helps maintain compliance with internal specifications and industry regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of mechanical parts, sub‑assemblies, and finished units.
  • Use calibrated measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and coordinate‑measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform functional and operational tests on components to confirm they meet performance criteria.
  • Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare non‑conformance reports when deviations are identified.
  • Collaborate with production staff to address quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in audits and help ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant quality‑management standards.

What We're Looking For

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a quality‑inspection, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand‑held and digital measuring instruments; familiarity with CMM operation is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented setting.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation using standard office software or quality‑tracking systems.
