Elite Recruiting & Consulting Services is hiring a Quality Control Manager (QCM) for Federal Construction projects in Washington Heights, Chicago. This full-time, onsite position plays a critical role in maintaining construction quality and regulatory compliance for federal projects.
About the Role
As Quality Control Manager for our federal construction division, you'll oversee quality assurance activities across job sites, ensuring every aspect of construction meets contract specifications and federal standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality reviews to verify compliance with contract documents and federal requirements
- Document inspection findings and maintain detailed quality records for regulatory review
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and federal inspectors to address quality concerns
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when deficiencies are identified
- Monitor adherence to USACE standards, building codes, and safety regulations
- Prepare quality assurance reports and communicate findings to project leadership
- Perform testing and verification of materials and workmanship
- Maintain organized quality control documentation for project audits
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager or Quality Assurance professional in federal construction
- Strong knowledge of USACE standards, contract administration, and federal construction requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with quality inspection methodologies and testing procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Valid driver's license and ability to work onsite
