Quality Assurance Manager

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality operations at our Peerless Instrument facility in East Farmingdale, NY. This full-time position supports the development and production of advanced electronic assemblies, systems, and software engineered for critical US military applications, including naval propulsion systems and other Navy subsystems.

About the Role

You'll direct quality assurance activities across our defense electronics and instrumentation programs. This role combines technical leadership with strategic quality oversight to ensure our advanced control systems and military-grade electronic assemblies meet exacting performance, reliability, and regulatory standards. You'll own end-to-end quality processes, from design validation through production and field support.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of precision and continuous improvement
• Develop, implement, and refine QA processes, test protocols, and inspection procedures for electronics and systems manufacturing
• Oversee product validation, qualification testing, and compliance verification for military defense programs
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing to identify root causes, drive corrective action, and prevent defects
• Ensure adherence to military specifications, industry standards, and customer quality requirements
• Analyze quality metrics, trends, and performance data to guide operational improvements
• Manage supplier quality and support supply chain assurance initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field
• 5+ years of quality assurance or quality control experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing or defense contracting
• Demonstrated experience leading QA teams and implementing quality systems
• Strong knowledge of military and aerospace quality standards (MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, or equivalent)
• Proficiency with quality tools, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process documentation
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Security clearance eligibility or current clearance a plus
