Project/Program Manager with Experience with the US Department of Veterans Affai

Artemis Connection is hiring a Project/Program Manager with experience supporting the US Department of Veterans Affairs for a remote, contract-based consulting engagement serving the United States (nationwide) (nationwide). Join a strategy-driven team to help bring a major Healthcare and Benefits Act to life.

About the Role

This is a 12-month contract engagement (with the potential to extend) supporting a public sector client. The position is primarily remote, though occasional travel to Washington, DC may be required. As a Project/Program Manager with US Department of Veterans Affairs experience, you will steer program management, stakeholder coordination, and reporting efforts that advance the implementation of healthcare and benefits legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end program management for a large-scale federal healthcare and benefits initiative
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement across public, private, and social sectors
• Manage monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities to track implementation progress
• Shape communications strategies that support major, high-visibility programs
• Craft compelling narratives that drive advocacy, awareness, or behavior change
• Lead cross-sector outreach to align partners around shared goals

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of program or project management experience
• Required healthcare background, such as clinical work, healthcare informatics, or healthcare supply chain
• VA, VHA, or IVA experience strongly preferred
• 2 or more years of consulting experience preferred
• Demonstrated success delivering initiatives such as a statewide health literacy or access campaign, or a strategic communications plan for a federal education or workforce program
