Jacobs is hiring a Project Manager – Electrical Transmission & Distribution (EPC) in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, to steer complex utility infrastructure programs from kickoff through energized completion. About the Role

As a Project Manager focused on Electrical Transmission & Distribution (T&D), you will own the delivery of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects that strengthen the grid. This is a leadership position where you coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the primary point of accountability to clients and stakeholders. The role is based in Charlotte and is not remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead T&D EPC projects supporting utility infrastructure throughout North America, balancing scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Direct engineering, procurement, and construction activities so each phase integrates smoothly into the next.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear progress reporting and proactive risk management.
  • Guide cross-functional teams and subcontractors, keeping deliverables aligned with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Track project performance, resolve issues early, and drive outcomes that meet contractual and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the Electrical Transmission & Distribution industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing EPC or comparable utility infrastructure projects.
  • Solid command of project controls, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines.
  • A results-oriented mindset and the judgment to keep large, multi-faceted projects on course.
