About the Role
As a Senior Manager of Project Management within AECOM's Surface Transportation practice, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams delivering roadway, highway, and transit-related projects across the San Antonio region. This on-site position blends technical oversight, client partnership, and team leadership to ensure every engagement is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the full lifecycle of surface transportation projects, from scoping and planning through design coordination and final delivery.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and resources to meet client and contractual commitments.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders, building lasting relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Monitor risk, quality, and compliance across active assignments and resolve issues proactively.
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and pursuit of new transportation opportunities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing surface transportation or related infrastructure projects.
- Proven leadership in directing teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong command of project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients, agencies, and internal teams.
- Ability to work on-site in San Antonio, Bexar County.
