SUMMARY:
The Project Controls Analyst provides financial, planning, and project control support to business unit leaders and project managers. This role ensures accurate cost management, effective scheduling, and compliance with company and client requirements to support BRPH’s operational and financial goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Controls & Analysis
- Track and analyze project costs, including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts.
- Investigate and explain variances between estimated, committed, and actual costs; recommend corrective actions or recovery plans.
- Support development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project coding, and accurate task/cost allocations.
- Apply earned value methodologies and other project performance metrics to monitor progress and trends.
- Monitor and report on cost and schedule changes, ensuring visibility to project management.
- Contribute to change control management and critical path method (CPM) scheduling as needed.
Financial Management & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, project financials, and management reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets; prepare variance analyses and present findings to management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and customer-specific requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide timely financial and project performance reports to management and stakeholders.
- Review and report on project revenue, cost trends, and performance indicators.
- Develop training and provide guidance to operations staff on project controls processes and tools.
Systems & Tools
- Utilize Deltek Vantagepoint and other project management tools for cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
- Support continuous improvement in financial and project control systems and reporting processes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, engineering, construction, business, or a related field from an accredited university with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The work is semi-sedentary work and requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
- Ability to navigate and move around the construction site, which may involve walking, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively.
- Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and to maintain a high level of concentration.
- Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others.
- Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
